Komalirani Yenneti’s recent research presented at conferences in Taiwan and India

ESPRU’s own Komalirani Yenneti has been very active on the conference circuit recently. She presented her work at three international conferences during the last six weeks:

1. Workshop on Urban Response to Climate Change in Asia: ­Understanding Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies, held at the National Taipei University of Taiwan, 10th-­15th November 2011. Komalirani is presently writing up the paper she presented at this workshop for publication;

2. The 3rd International conference on ‘climate change, forest resource and environment’ and 6th ‘National Environment congress’ held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, 9th-11th December 2011. Komalirani’s paper was titled ‘Energy efficiency policies as a resource for energy security and low carbon mitigation strategies for cities:­ A case study of Bangalore city’;

3. The 4th International congress on Environmental Research held in Surat, Gujarat, India, 15th-17th December, 2011. Komalirani presented a paper titled ‘Energy efficiency as a low carbon mitigation strategy for industries – A case of Ahmedabad city’.
